Thanksgiving Cutlery you cant be without

If you going to serve turkey on Thanksgiving, a carving knife and fork are convenient tools to have on hand.  Usually sold as a set. While an all-purpose slicing knife may be used for carving any type of roast, different knives are  better suited to some roasts than others; so look for a set with a blade that best suits your preferences.

A blade with a long flexible but still sturdy blade is best for following the contours of a large turkey.   A shorter sturdier knife is better for small chickens.  Long straight blades with scalloped edges cut more readily through red meats.  Choose a set with a sturdy two pronged carving fork that will hold whatever you’ve cooked steady as you carve.  The fork is also useful for picking up and serving the sliced meat or poultry.
